Presented are the results of a four-wave panel study to determine the relationship of communication to conservation behaviors. This study found that energy-related content in the mass media bears stronger relationships with the perceived importance of the energy problem than with adoption of energy conservation behavior. Several television markets were surveyed and compared with each other and with 1973 data to determine whether natural history programing has declined. Results showed an increase in the percentage of total air time and of prime time broadcasts devoted to natural history programing exclusive of cable and pay television. (CW)

Reported are the results of a survey of 603 southern, urban Blacks regarding their attitudes concerning environmental issues. These results were compared with earlier studies of Whites and it was found that Blacks exhibited a similar level of concern. (Author/CW)
