Abstract:A compilation of reports given at the forty-third annual meeting of the National Council on Schoolhouse Construction includes--(1) "To Build--Past, Present and Future Tense", a view of school construction perspectives in terms of present and future educational needs, (2) "Implicatio"s of Present and Projected Federal Programs for School Buildings", a statement on federal responses in building programs to the continual increase in schools population mobility, (3) "Problems in Planning School Buildings", how to adapt school architecture to facilitate technological advances in education, (4) "School Construction Systems Development", a review of problems encountered in building projects, (5) "FUAP--Facilities Utilization Analysis Program", the use of a process for analyzing and utilizing educational facilities, and (6) "Educational Facilities Planning Must Be Improved in America", the need for a new look at improvement of long range planning as a result of technological advances. The Proceedings close with notes from a series of discussion groups on long range planning for urban, suburban, rural schools, colleges and universities, and a national view. (GM)
