ERIC Features Reports from the What Works Clearinghouse
The What Works Clearinghouse (WWC), sponsored
by the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences, provides educators, policymakers, researchers, and the public
with a central and trusted source of scientific evidence of what works in education. The clearinghouse publishes its findings in a
series of reports addressing specific approaches and highly-relevant education topics. ERIC users now have convenient access to two
types of reports.
Intervention Reports provide high-quality reviews of the effectiveness of replicable educational interventions
and are designed to facilitate informed education decision-making. WWC Topic Reports offer a systematic review of the most pressing
issues in U.S. education, such as beginning reading, early childhood education, and middle school math. The Clearinghouse also publishes
Practice Guides in education to bring the best available evidence and expertise to bear on the types of systemic challenges that
cannot currently be addressed by single interventions or programs.
The search button below runs an ERIC search that returns a list of titles published by the What Works
Clearinghouse. The ERIC citation for each WWC report includes a PDF icon that retrieves the full text.
