ERIC Welcomes New Library Committee

Beginning this week, ERIC will benefit from the expert input of a group of academic, school, and special librarians convened to serve as the inaugural ERIC Library Committee. The 10-member group will advise the U.S. Department of Education about several aspects of ERIC's operation, including collection development, lexicography, outreach, and training/instructional delivery. Library Committee members will also provide recommendations for the public website at www.eric.ed.gov

The Library Committee joins two other advisory groups, the ERIC Steering Committee and the Content Experts, in ensuring that ERIC is responsive to the needs of its diverse stakeholders. A summary of the Library Committee's initial meeting will be posted to this site in the coming months.
