Update Introduces New Terms to ERIC Thesaurus

The latest update to the Thesaurus of ERIC Descriptors introduces the following 17 new searchable terms (Descriptors):

  • Ambiguity (Context)
  • Ambiguity (Semantics)
  • Capacity Building
  • Comorbidity
  • Computer Games
  • Critical Literacy
  • English Language Learners
  • Information Security
  • Knowledge Economy
  • Leadership Role
  • Mixed Methods Research
  • Naming
  • Neoliberalism
  • School Turnaround
  • Semi Structured Interviews
  • Structured Interviews
  • Web 2.0 Technologies

The update also includes changes to scope notes (definitions) to clarify usage, and synonyms (i.e., non-searchable terms) that guide users to the appropriate search term(s), e.g., "Online Games" use "Computer Games."
