New Terms Added to ERIC Thesaurus

Sept. 01, 2011

 Back to ERIC News

The Summer 2011 Update to the ERIC Thesaurus adds 16 searchable Descriptors, including College Readiness, Multiple Literacies, and Praxis; identifies non-searchable terms and provides usable terms, e.g., "Heritage Language" use "Native Language." Researchers use Descriptors to construct effective, precise searches. To view the current and previous changes to the Thesaurus, go to Maintaining the ERIC Thesaurus, or visit www.eric.ed.gov/thesaurus to browse/search the complete file.

ERIC reviews recently indexed literature and welcomes user suggestions to determine additions and changes to the Thesaurus. To submit your suggestions, go to www.eric.ed.gov/contact and select Thesaurus Comment as the subject.
