Abstract:This 96-item annotated bibliography presents annotations of all vocabulary-related work produced by the Johnson O'Connor Resource Foundation since its establishment in 1927. The bibliography also contains source listings for topics other than vocabulary. The bibliography begins with a discussion of Johnson O'Connor (director of electrical engineering research for General Electric in the 1920s) and the research foundation he established to continue his work on the relationship of vocabulary and occupational success. The books, journal articles, and technical reports in the bibliography were published between 1928 and 1990. Contains 14 references and a figure illustrating word difficulty. (RS)
